Week 16

I'm back with another project life update!!  This week was very low key as Savannah was still getting over her stomach bug.  We got some nice weather so we got outside a lot this week!!  We were able to capture one of Camden's obsessions right now with going to get the mail every single day.  I love Project Life!!

My favorite picture of the week is Sawyer getting into the pantry.  He is getting into everything!!

For this week I used the Kiwi Kit.

Until next week!!

Week 15

This week was a very low key week as Savannah was sick from Wednesday to Sunday this week. We ended up canceling a trip to PA over the weekend and she was out of school Thursday and Friday.  The boys did make it to the playground with Daddy on Saturday so they enjoyed having the nice weather to play outside in.  We also got a video of our little guy crawling.

My favorite picture of the week is Sawyer in the swing since he loves the swing right now.

For this week I used the High Five Edition.  It was fun working with this kit as I'm a huge fan of all of the bright colors!!

Until next week!!

Project Life Week 13-14

I'm back with two more weeks to share with you!  I enjoyed using both of the new kits that were released last week and this current week!

Week 13 - March 23-29, 2015

This week was pretty low key.  We got some nice weather so we were able to get the kids outside and it was awesome!!  I was able to capture some artwork that Savannah and I did together, a decluttering session (with Sawyer's help) and some pretty cute pictures this week!

My favorite picture for this week is Camden's face in the bottom picture.  He makes that face all of the time and I'm so glad we have it photographed.  I'm sure he will love it when he gets older!!

For this week I used Heidi Swapp's Favorite Things kit which was a lot of fun to work with!!

Week 14 - March 30-April 5, 2015

This week started out slow and then toward the end of the week we got a little busier with Easter on the weekend.  We had more nice weather and our resident photographer was still testing out some lighting and such so we got more cute pictures of the bigger kids this week.

My favorite photo of the week was Savannah's close of with her face in her hands.  I love this photo not only because it's cute, but she has marker on her hands.  This girl is so into coloring and drawing right now and she has marker on her hands almost all of the time.

The kit I used this week was the Cathy Zielske Value Kit.  I loved working with this kit!!  I have been a fan of her digital products for a long time and use her brushes quite a bit so I was so excited for this to be released!  Remember this is for sale this week in the digital project life shop!

I'm still working on a page for Easter using another kit that I have from Lori Whitlock so that will be documented!!  Until next week!

Project Life Weeks 8-12

So I have been slacking at keeping this blog updated!!  I do stay mainly up to date on my weekly pages which is good, but when it comes to blogging them I just can't get into a consistent routine!!  So anyway without further ado here are the pages for the last 4 weeks!!

Week 8 - February 16-22, 2015:

This week was a special week since our oldest turned 5 and our baby turned 6 months.  We had well baby visits for those two and some snow so my husband got to work from home or have days off because of the snow which was awesome!!  The kids loved playing in the snow!  I also took Savannah on a little shopping trip to get her some much needed clothes and spend her birthday gift cards.

My favorite picture of the week was the one of Camden in the snow.  He is so hard to get pictures of these days since he is at that age, so I love when we can get a cute natural smile of his!!

For this week I used the azure kit from Becky Higgins.  I enjoyed using this kit and loved all of the butterflies!!  I also used a card from Baby Kit for Him for the stats for Sawyer's 6 month check up.  I used a brush from Cathy Zielske and some Ali Edwards  brushes as well.  I love both of their brushes!!

Because this week was a birthday week I ended up doing another layout with our birthday kiddos.  I used a Lori Whitlock birthday kit for Savannah's pictures. I love her kits too, such bright vibrant colors!  For Sawyers pictures I used the Boy Themed Cards which is another favorite of mine from Becky Higgins!!

Week 9 - February 23-March 1, 2015

This week was a lot of snow/ice and just normal routine.  We had a fun day at a local school open house on Saturday, but otherwise just routine normal days.

My favorite pic of the week was the picture of Sawyer in his little bear hat.  This captures him so well.  He is such a pleasant baby and loves being able to go out no matter how much he has to get bundled up and I just love his cute little hat!!

For this week I used Maggie Holmes Edition and more Ali Edwards brushes.

Week 10 - March 2 - 8, 2015

This week was more snow!!  Blah!!  I also documented a passing of a wonderful man this week and some more firsts for Sawyer.  I love that Project Life allows me to capture these little firsts until I can get caught up with the kids baby books!!

My favorite pictures of the week are the three of Sawyer.  I mean how cute are those smiles?!?

I used the Heidi Swapp Dreamy Edition.  Loved the light pastel colors of this kit.

Week 11 - March 9-15, 2015

This week was spring break for Savannah and my mom was on vacation so the kids and I spent the week with my parents.  Wonderful week!!  We spent time with family and just relaxed.

My favorite picture of the week is Sawyer cuddling with my mom.  We don't see her as often as I would like so it's always special when she gets some time with the kiddos.

This week I used one of my all time favorite kits the Aqua Edition.

Week 12 - March 16-22, 2015

This week was the week of St. Patrick's Day.  We had a great week with some good weather in the beginning of the week and then snow toward the end of the week.  We went to the local St. Patrick's Day parade as we do almost every year since Savannah was young and had a great time.

My favorite picture of the week is the black and white picture of us walking in our neighborhood.

This week since it was St. Patrick's Day, I purchased Lori Whitlock's St. Patrick's Day kit.

This week Sawyer also turned 7 months so we ended up taking quite a few pictures of him with some studio set ups that Rob (Buddy) was testing out for photography.  I love these pictures.  He is so cute!!  He also had his first solid food of graham crackers. He did awesome! And yet another first documented by Project Life!!  I used the Boy Themed Cards for this layout as well.

And that's all for now!!  I'll be back (hopefully soon) with Weeks 13 and 14!!

Week 7

Week 7 was another pretty typical winter week for the beginning, but the end of the week ended with a birthday party for our sweet Savannah.  We spent a lot of time indoors at the beginning of the week cleaning and getting ready for the party and guests started arriving on Thursday starting with my mother-in-law.  My family came Friday night and everyone stayed through Sunday.  We live about 6 hours from family so when they come we host everyone for the entire weekend.  Talk about a full house!  11 people in all, but it's wonderful to have family here.

My favorite pic of the week is Savannah with her cake.  Poor girl is so shy she didn't want anyone around when she blew out her candles or anything so everyone had to leave and her Dad was able to snap this picture of her.  Happy Birthday Savannah! Can't believe she is 5!!!!!

For this week I used the ready set go value kit which was really cute and one of my favorites for this year.  Remember it's on sale this week!

Until next time!! I have a special spread for next week and I'm hoping to catch up with weeks 8 and 9 soon!!

Project Life catch up! Weeks 4-6!

So while I have been keeping up (mostly) with my project life pages, I have not done a very good job at actually posting them on this blog.  It is such a busy season of life for me with my kiddos, but I do like to share my pages so here they are.

Week 4: January 19-25, 2015

Our week was pretty typical for a winter week.  It was cold here so we were stuck inside.  All three kids were starting to come down with a cold so everyone was sleeping  a lot!  I didn't realize until after I completed the page that the page on the left was pretty much sleeping.  My kids are not great sleepers so I knew we were in for something since they all were sleeping a lot!  Sure enough all three kids got hit with a nasty cold at the end of the week and over the weekend.  Poor babies!!  Also my baby turned 5 months so we took his pictures and documented some of what he's up to these days.

My favorite picture of the week was the black and white of Sawyer sleeping.  My husband (he's the better photographer) has captured each one of our kids sleeping close up and I love them so much!!

For this week I used the desktop edition, which I loved using.  I loved the orange in this kit!!  I also really like to highlight some photos on my pages so I started with a template A design and modified the right page to highlight the picture of my littlest man.

 Week 5:  January 26-February 1, 2015

This was the week of sickness around here!!  Blah!  On Monday Savannah complained of an ear ache so I took all three kiddos to the pediatrician.  Our pediatrician is about 45 min away so I asked them to not only check her but check the baby too so we know if he had any ear infection so I wouldn't have to bring him back in a day or two if he didn't get better.  Both kids were positive for ear infections and they were concerned with Sawyer's breathing so we started breathing treatments with him every four hours.  My poor munchkins!!  Anyway, then for the weekend we were in need of an outing so we went to Chic-Fil-A to play and get groceries etc.  It was a good way to end our week of sickness!!

My favorite picture is the one on the bottom right of Camden and his boxes.  This boy is obsessed with boxes and mail and right now it drives me crazy, but when he's grown I will have this phase of his documented and I love how that one picture tells his story right now!

For this week I used Be Bright themed cards.

Week 6:  February 2-8, 2015

This week was finally a little break in the cold and we were able to get outside!! YAY!!  We got the baby swing out for Sawyer for our swing set at home and the big kids loved pushing him and Sawyer thought the swing was great! Camden also started pedaling his bike on his own!  YAY!!  On Sunday, I had to work for a little while, but got out early and so we were able to take the kids to the playground to get some more fresh air before the weather got cold again.  It was awesome getting outside for just a little bit!

My favorite picture of the week is Sawyer sticking his tongue out.  It's his current finding and now he loves to stick his tongue out.  He will smile and a second later, out comes the tongue!!  I always have a ton of pictures of Sawyer, but he's so cute and doesn't move so he makes for an easy photography subject!!

For this week I used Noted themed cards.

Well that's what I have for now.  I am still working on weeks 7 & 8 and hoping to finish those up this weekend as they were big weeks for us with birthday party for Savannah and Sawyer turning 6 months already!  Until next time!!

Week 3

It's Monday and there are some new digital goodies coming out today!!  This week I used the Journal Themed Cards found here.  I enjoyed using this kit and the journaling pages which are 6x8 are really cute too.  I actually used a journaling page and clipped it to the clipping mask in the picture of my son with his boxes.  There are also a few other kits coming out including the My Story kit which I'm so excited about!

This week was another ordinary week around here.  It was school for my oldest and my son's co-op school started again this week after a break for Christmas.  Our golden retriever, Daisy celebrated her 9th birthday this week.  We finally had a Saturday off together with nothing to do so we took advantage of it and went to a local indoor kids gym, did some shopping and went out to lunch.  Fun family day!!

My youngest got his first bath in the big bathtub this week and I love the fact that with one picture and some journaling I can tell the story and have it documented with little fuss!  In fact, I look back to my Project Life albums from the past years to see when the big kids reached certain milestones or when we went somewhere etc.  I just love this project so much and how it's such a great documentation of our lives!! So without further chit chat here is week 3!

Week 2

Happy Monday!!  Monday's around Becky Higgins digital world often mean new digital kits are released!!  This week I created the kits using the Neapolitan Core Kit!  I loved working with the lighter colors and thought the kit was just darling!  Again this kit will be on sale through Sunday so that's the best time to get it!  There are also a few other kits that have come out this week as well so be sure to check those out!

Onto Week 2...

Week 2 was getting back into our routine.  Savannah went back to school and so we got back into a semi routine.  It was hard for her to get back into the groove of things after holiday break so by Friday I think we were back in the groove.  It was cold this week and we ended up getting an inch or two of snow so the kids were able to go outside and play in the snow!  It doesn't snow a whole lot in Maryland so the kids always get so excited to go out and play in it!!

Camden was also obsessed with boxes this week, so much so that he took them to bed with him!  Silly boy!  One thing that I have done since last year is complete a "right now" card with things that we are doing/saying right now.  Most of the time it is stuff about the kids, but every once in awhile I put things in about my husband or myself.  It's interesting to see the kids sayings or different things they were into each week.  I got the idea from Kristina Proffitt and I have loved doing it!  I don't always remember to jot things down through the week, but I do love it when I remember and I can capture a few things that I don't ever want to forget about "right now" in our lives.  Onto Week 3...

2014 is done!

It's finally done!!  I just finished my 2014 book and uploaded to Shutterfly this morning!  Such a good feeling!!  I can't wait to get the completed book in my hands for myself and my family to look through!  My kids love looking through the first half of the year so I'm sure this one will be a hit as well.

I chose a 12x12 book from Shutterfly with lay flat pages as I have done for the past projects that I have done.  I fell in love with the lay flat pages after seeing Lindsey's book in her blog post a few years ago.  I love that I don't have to worry about gutter and the pages are thicker so it stands up to little kids looking through it frequently.

So glad this year is completed and now looking forward to starting 2015 and getting this project rolling again!!  If you would like to see the completed book, click the link below and check it out!
2014 Project Life Album Volume 2

Week 1 2015

So I am absolutely terrible at updating this blog, but at least I'm keeping up with my pages!!  I am "caught up" to Week 2 for January and will complete Week 3 after all of the end of week stuff happens (uploading pics, going through phone pics etc.).  Anyway I wanted to share week 1 that I created using the Weekly Planner Themed Cards.  Let me say that I absolutely loved working with this kit although it was small! I am a huge fan of the bright colors and I just found it so cute!  It is on sale through Sunday January 18th so get it while you can!

This week was pretty low key and short.  I always start my year with January 1 so this week was only January 1-4, 2015.  My husband was home on the 1st which was awesome and I worked the entire weekend so there really wasn't a whole lot going on.  We took our annual New Year's Day photo and its hard to believe last year for that photo I was only like 5-6 weeks pregnant with Sawyer!!  I didn't take a ton of photos so I needed a little bit of filler so I love to add things like what our favorites are and since it was a New Year I also added things like my biggest fitness goals and the prices of things the last time we bought them.

Definitely a favorite lay out and kit of mine right now!!  I love the family picture of all of us and I love how all three kids were looking at the camera even though it was on the timer!  We can't get them to look at the camera that good when we are standing behind it!! Check back on for Week 2!!  Until next time...

Week 50

I have been playing catch up with Project Life recently and I am determined to be finished with 2014 by next Saturday so I can upload it and get ready for printing!!  I am so excited to be almost done with my second full year of digital project life!!

During this week we had a pretty normal week although we did do some fun holiday things like going to see Santa, the lights on the bay and gingerbread houses at the community library.  I used the Merry and Bright kit to document this week and I just love how bright and vibrant the colors are!

My title cards that I used for 2014 were retired from Nettio designs.  I also used some Ali Edwards brushes for the week numbers.

I'm hoping to be back tomorrow with another week completed and ready for the book!!  I love how simple and easy this project is to complete!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!  It's hard to believe that 2015 is already here!  2014 was a year of transition for us with welcoming a new baby and my husband having a new job with a much longer commute so I'm hoping 2015 will bring some calm!! Ha!  Anyway I wanted to pop in to share a new memory keeping project that I will be starting today and will continue for 5 years.  I'm sure some of you may have heard of a 5 year journal but for those who haven't I have recently heard about them in blogland but I was not impressed with the Q & A Journal on Amazon that many use.  So when I turned to YouTube and saw some videos of people using my favorite Erin Condren stationary products to create their own journals I was sold!  I set out to make my own.  A quick google search and I came across the blog of Debbie Hodge who so kindly made lists for every month of the year!  So I ordered an Erin Condren notebook, printed out my questions and created my very own 5 year journal.

So what is a 5 year journal anyway?  A 5 year journal is a journal in which every day for 5 years you answer the same question and you will see over the years how your answer changes (or perhaps stays the same).  For example for the next 5 years I will be answering the question of what my number one goal is for the New Year on January 1 for the years 2015-2019.

I did use some of my own questions when I didn't particularly like the question that was listed.

I'm excited to start with this type of memory keeping this year as I'm not very good at keeping a journal, but a line a day will be easy for me to keep up with.  I will share more as the year progresses, but for now, I just have January written out and know I want to do some monthly and yearly recaps, however I'm not entirely sure what those will be yet ;)  I wanted to share what I had now so if anyone else is interested you can get yours started today!!

If anyone is interested in ordering a notebook through Erin Condren please consider using my referral link if you are a first time customer.  It will give you $10 off of your first order! https://www.erincondren.com/referral/invite/vanessalaurnoff

Until next time!!  Have a Happy New Year and stay tuned for some project life pages soon to come on the blog as I prep my 2014 book for printing!!  Exciting stuff!
